When I was working at a country station, I quickly learned you never say an ill word about the legends: Haggard, Nelson, Cash, Rogers and of course, Dolly Parton.

Although you won’t hear Dolly on the JACK airwaves, it is her 72nd birthday, and we have to give some sort of props to this living legend and everything she’s accomplished.

She’s an actor, singer, performer — a true Hollywood triple threat.

She’s received nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for a number of roles.

She owns a theme park.

AND as of 2018 the woman is a world record holder! The Guinness World Records 2018 edition is recognizing Dolly for the “most decades with a Top 20 hit on the US Country Songs chart (six), and most hits on the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist (107).”
