Hockey Hall of Famer, Goride Howe has passed away this morning, at the age of 88.

A household name, well known for his long-standing hockey career will without a doubt be remembered for playing 32 professional hockey seasons and winning the NHL scoring title and MVP award six times each. The Gordie Howe hat trick was named after this legend, it’s when a player scores a goal, records an assist and gets in a fight all in one game. To top matters off, Howe helped the Detroit Red Wings hoist the Stanley Cup four times and was a 21-time all-star.

“Listen. The two greatest players to ever live were Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe and you can pick, and decide who you think is better. But, to me, Gordie Howe is the greatest player to ever live and always will be”. – Wayne Gretzky.
