A devastating Fort McMurray wildfire remains out of control after the city was evacuated around 6pm on Tuesday night. Approx 80,000 people left their homes behind seeking safety to the North in the Oil Sands and South to Edmonton and beyond. To date there has been no casualties – the only injuries reported, a sprain.

This isolated community at the heart of the Oil Sands is known for being a giving community that helps each other out. They are living a nightmare and today will be another challenging day for this amazing city as the fire continues.
