It was 1 year ago today we lost the great Glenn Frey.

The man wrote some of the most iconic rock and roll songs in the history of the genre.  If you are a big fan of music or just the occasional listener, you probably know some of the lyrics to at least one of his songs.

Ya he helped write that.

He also wrote this little ditty with Jackson Browne.

And weather it is Joe Walsh performing this song just to make Don Henley angry, or the original version of the self titled album this song will live for a very long time.

The lyrics ring true now more then ever, he now is the “rainbow above us.”

But today on the day of his passing, good friend and fellow musician Bob Seger wrote a song dedicated to his friend called “Glenn Song” and it is available for free on his website.  You can listen HERE.

Well done Bob.
