Nothing in life can ever prepare us for tragedy and disaster. Patriots Day depicts the series of events that took place on and after the fatal April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings but with a Hollywood twist.  A-listers Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Kevin Bacon, and Michelle Monaghan star in this docudrama directed by Peter Berg.

Although Mark Wahlberg’s character is fictional, the movie is a true story and his role really keeps the story moving. It is near impossible to not fall in love with Wahlberg’s strength of character, compassion and determination. Do prepare yourself for a few tears, as this story promises to stir up a whole array of emotions including the good, the bad and the ugly.

It is however, the events that unfold after the bombings that truly bring the heart and humanity to this film. From the manhunt to the interrogation and capture, we see how humans can rise above even the worst situations and that love stands above all. #BostonStrong A Must See!
