It depends who you ask, but you’ll find many people across the Lower Mainland who will tell you fall is their favourite season.

After a hot summer, the crisp air, hoodies/sweaters and the kids returning to school are a welcomed change from the heat, smoke and mosquitoes (weren’t they awful this year!?) There is nothing like getting lost in a corn maze for a few hours, wondering if you’ll ever be found. What to bring to the Pumpkin Patch

  • Appropriate clothes and footwear are a must.

  • Cloth grocery bags are ideal to carry your pumpkins home in.

Southlands Heritage Farm

Admission is $15 per person (incl tax) & includes 1 pumpkin each (any size). Kids under 2 are free. Extra pumpkins may be purchased at the gate for $8 each. It’s recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance.

Explore a magical farming oasis in the city. Relax, hang out. Meet the goats, sheep, chickens and horses. Pick a pumpkin from our Old Apple Orchard and sit by the campfire. Some of our pumpkins are grown on site and some we pick up from our friend’s farm (Westham Island Herb Farm). Most Pumpkins have already been harvested and are spread around the orchard for easy choosing.

Please feel free to pitch in! Pick up a rake or manure fork and help us in our daily tasks. Just ask a Farmer what needs doing.

We are open:

  • Weekends 9am-5pm
  • Monday to Friday 3:30pm-6:30pm
  • Thanksgiving Monday (Oct 10th): 9:30am-6:30pm

Did you Know?

  • Pumpkin flesh was once used as a cleaning detergent.
  • The original pumpkin dessert involved filling the pumpkin with milk, sugar, and spices and cooking it in the hot coals of a fire.
  • All our pumpkins are locally grown (either on our farm or Westham Island Herb Farm)

In 2017, they opened a brand new location across the street to our original location.  The original Laity Pumpkin Patch is referred to as the North location and is designed for the younger members of your family. Our newest location is referred to as the South location and is designed to entertain your children as they get older.   Both locations have attractions that the whole family can enjoy together!

Greendale Acres

Greendale Acres is excited to announce that it has partnered with Science World to launch the 24th Chilliwack Corn Maze. This year, the design of the 12 acre corn maze, which boasts a giant T.rex to coincide with T.rex, the Ultimate Predator, presented by RBC and White Spot Restaurants, on at the geodesic dome until February 2023.

The playful design of this year’s maze makes the connection between the prehistoric dinosaur and the chicken – who share characteristics in their bone structure, making chickens living members of the dinosaur group, Theropoda.

The maze is an interactive adventure where maze-goers must complete 12 T.rex themed questions curated by the Science World team in order to escape. Participants can choose the family-friendly short maze which takes approximately 15-20 minutes, or the longer more challenging maze which takes 30-40 minutes to complete.

When: The maze opens Saturday, August 13th at 10am with live music starting at 6pm followed by a concert by BC local country artist Tanner Olsen Band from 8pm-10pm. Maze and attractions close at 7pm for the concert. NOTE: Special event tickets are required after 5pm if attending the opening day evening celebrations.
