The Jays were on home turf last night taking on the Baltimore Orioles in a race to clinch the wild card spot. Rogers Centre was stuffed with screaming fans and unfortunately things got a little out of hand when someone chucked, what appeared to be a beer can, onto the field during a play.

Obviously this is dangerous and distracting, and makes all Toronto fans look real bad.

Since then, the police have asked the responsible fan to come forward, and the Jays have just issued an official statement of disappointment:

The Jays won the wild-card game, beating Baltimore 5-2 on a walk-off three-run home run by Edwin Encarnacion in the 11th inning, yesterday. The next game is against the Texas Rangers, which goes tomorrow (Oct 6).
