Better late than never.

Nothing is official yet but Netflix has been working on a “download-and-go” option for their service, they are playing catch up after Amazon Prime started offering a similar service last year. Netflix has always had a hard stance against the service, last year Netflix COO Neil Hunt stated that Netflix wasn’t too interested in offline video because “users couldn’t handle the complexity of all the choices“.   So basically what he is saying is you are and idiot and can’t figure it out how to click the mouse. But last month Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that the company should “keep an open mind” about the “download-and-go” option, which suggests that this could not be too far away.

The download selection will be different from the streaming options, it will be up to the movie studios to approve what TV shows and movies will be available
