The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White will play Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic – and he talked about his preparations in an interview with GQ.

White says he’s “got a really talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to get ready for this thing.”

He also checks out clips of The Boss on YouTube, “to listen to his speaking voice as well as his singing voice.”

Oh yeah – and White has been texting and emailing with the man himself, calling Bruce “the greatest guy” who’s “really supportive of the film.”

White will star in Deliver Me From Nowhere, a movie about Bruce recording the Nebraska album.
