Ann Wilson, the iconic lead vocalist of the rock band Heart, has announced that she has been diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, the band is delaying the remainder of its Royal Flush Tour to allow her time for treatment.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Wilson shared that she recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and is making a steady recovery. However, her medical team has recommended that she undergo preventive chemotherapy and take a hiatus from performing to ensure a full recovery. As a result, the rest of the North American tour dates have been rescheduled for 2025.

“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025,” Wilson said in the statement. “My team is getting those details sorted & we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”

Tickets purchased for the postponed shows will still be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the statement.
