U2 have paid tribute to fellow Irish musician Shane MacGowan. Last week, The Pogue’s frontman died at the age 65.

During their residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere, U2 covered The Pogue’s 1986 single “A Rainy Night In Soho”. During the performance, Bono asked the crowd to “sing with us, for Shane MacGowan”. Bono also changed a few lyrics to “MacGowan’s song is never over, but we may never find out what it means / You’re the measure of my dreams.”
