If you grew up between 1967 to 1996 chances are this man had an impact on your childhood. Ernie Coombs, better known as Mr. Dressup held a spot on CBC for 29 seasons, drawing, teaching, singing, crafting, and reaching into the Tickle Trunk to spark our imagination.

Now his life is coming back to our screens thanks to a documentary from Amazon Prime. We’ll get a look into the life of Ernie Coombs, from starting out as an understudy of Mr. Rogers to ending is incredible 29 year run as one of the most loved people on TV … and if we’re lucky a little Casey and Finnegan.

The documentary is expected to start production this fall and will debut sometime in 2023.
