Madonna not interested in selling her music catalog

Some artists have cashed out BIG time selling off the rights to their music catalog. Michael Jackson paid $47.5 million to own The Beatles catalog, which feels like a discount when you consider Sting just sold his (which includes all The Police hits) for $300 million. For a pay day like that it’s no wonder some artists are choosing to sell. One artist who won’t be selling anytime soon is Madonna.

Madonna recently told Variety magazine: “Because they’re my songs. Ownership is everything, isn’t it?”. “I’m just looking for interesting, fun ways to rerelease my catalog and introduce my music to a new generation.” she continued.

Madonna recently announced she is going to Produce her own biopic starring Ozark’s Julia Garner, keeping everything close to the vest seems to be Madonna’s way and hasn’t she always marched to the beat of her own drum!?
