The Red Hot Chili Peppers officially kicked off their reunion tour with John Frusciante this past weekend in Spain, and looking at the setlist, they played a great mix of classic Chili Pepper hits sprinkled in with some forgotten about hits from albums that featured John Frusciante.

One of the highlights of the first show was the “We love Taylor” chant that broke out in tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Chad Smith had “TAYLOR” written on his kick drum in honour of his friend.

For many RHCP fans, this is version of the band represents their FAVOURITE line up so this reunion tour will be celebrated throughout Europe before touching back down in North America later in the summer. No Edmonton dates have been set, but there are plenty of amazing cities you could visit and get your Chili Peppers fix at.

What’s your FAVOURITE Chili Peppers song, the one you’d die to hear on the setlist?
