Happy 70th birthday to Phil Collins!

He’s sure packed in a lot of awesome into 70 years. He’s written some of the catchiest songs ever, fronted Genesis (taking over for Peter Gabriel), was a part of the Led Zeppelin reunion at Live Aid in 1985 in Philly, been on Miami Vice and let’s not forget starring in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (where you have to rescue Phil Collins then deliver him to his gig so he can do his most famous drum fill …)

All this Phil Collins made us challenge ourselves to put together the top 6 Phil Collins songs from the 80s.

Let’s face it, all 80s Phil Collins is awesome, so it’s hard to narrow it down to just 6 but here we go.

Oh, fun fact: if you replace the drum breakdown during “In The Air Tonight” with tuba honks, it’s a wildly different song.

Two Hearts (Cheesy Phil at his best!!!)

In The Air Tonight

Sussudio

You Can’t Hurry Love

Invisible Touch (Genesis)

Easy Lover

So what’s next for Phil? Genesis recently released this small clip of tour rehearsals, and despite his recent health issues, Phil Collins can still sing and will front the band on a 2021/2022 tour.
