6 of our Favourite Super Bowl LII Commercials

There’s more to the Super Bowl than just football, so we’ve rounded up six of our favourite Super Bowl LII commercials to rewatch because they were just that good!

Odell Beckham & Eli Manning recreate “Dirty Dancing” Scene

In a bit of an upset, the NFL actually might have made the best commercial of the night (it definitely got the biggest cheer at the JACK Big Football Party at River Rock Resort). Imagine if these two actually pulled off this epic touchdown celebration IN A GAME?!? Patrick Swayze would be proud.

Hopper from “Stranger Things” makes fun of every other ad with his Tide ad

You might have recognized Lt. Hopper in a bunch of odd Tide commercials, which basically just made fun of other commercials. They were strange but oddly satisfying, much like Tide Pods.

Steven Tyler turns back the clock for KIA

The best use of a JACK song in a commercial goes to KIA, who had Steven Tyler ripping around a race track BACKWARDS while the classic Aerosmith hit “Dream On” played in the background. When Tyler emerged from his car, he was 40 years younger! The song choice was perfect and the visual effects were pretty darn good too.

Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman face-off in an epic rap battle for Doritos

Another great music-themed commercial came from the wacky folks over at Doritos, who got Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage to perfectly lip-sync Busta Rhymes followed by everyone’s favourite voice Morgan Freeman showcasing his skills with Missy Elliot. Even if you’re not a rap fan, this battle of fire vs. ice definitely got your attention.

Keanu Reeves can do anything with Squarespace

There is cool, and then there is “Keanu cool”. We wouldn’t even be surprised if Keanu Reeves actually could ride his motorbike standing up, he’s just that cool. Not only is Keanu in the commercial, but he actually built the website for his real custom motorcycle company using Squarespace, so he’s also a customer. This commercial also made us want to watch The Matrix, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and John Wick again.

Beware the Guacalypse!

This commercial had a bunch of people laughing out loud…. and for good reason! Who wouldn’t riot if they were stuck in a Biodome with endless avocados and no chips (and NO WI-FI!) The horror!!

Bonus Mention:

We have a bunch of huge Star Wars fans here at JACK, so naturally, they were pretty excited for the first-look at Solo. What did you think?
