500 people were invited to the Inaugural Janie’s Fund Gala & GRAMMY Viewing Party at Red Studios in Los Angeles, California, which helped raised a whopping $2.4 million dollars for young girls who have been abused or neglected. Janie’s Fund is an organization founded by Tyler himself and is something he considers part of his life’s mission.

The guests watched the awards show, where every commercial break was filled with speakers, drum circles, and a special performance by Tyler, who did his rendition of “Piece of My Heart” and a couple Aerosmith classics like “Sweet Emotion,” “Dream On,” and “Walk This Way,” with an appearance by Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer.

Tyler took to social media to say, “We don’t want to help just a few girls beat the odds…but to radically change the odds for all girls. This is not something that we should just hope for…but something we should demand!!!”
