Everyone’s favourite disco song, “Stayin’ Alive” turns 40 today!! Hard to believe it’s been that long but time is a funny thing, and “Stayin’ Alive” is a funny song. It’s still extremely popular today and just hearing the opening bars will make almost anyone want to bust into a confident John Travolta-esque strut down the street.

The song has endured for 40 years and has even been recreated a few times. There are lots of interesting cover versions of “Stayin’ Alive”, but maybe none better than Bruce Springsteen’s live version from his 2014 tour of Australia! Yep, The Boss covered “Stayin’ Alive”. Check it out!

Mr. Springsteen isn’t the only JACK artist who has tried to give “Stayin’ Alive” their own flavour. Ozzy Osbourne gave it a shot too!

And for those who keep up to date with Australian indie music, you’ve probably heard the Capital Cities version, which is more true to the Bee Gee’s original.

And with the new Star Wars movie on the horizon, of course someone made a sweet version using a montage of characters from the Star Wars movies. The force is strong with this one.

Had enough yet? We hope not, because we saved one more version for you. For those of you who prefer rock music to disco, how about the Bee Gee’s vocals matched with AC/DC’s “Back in Black”?

Which is your favourite version of “Stayin’ Alive”?
