Cupcake Kids provide Sweets for B.C. Forest Fire Relief!

These are the Cupcake Kids! Luca and Logan are spending their summer vacation helping those affected by the devastating forest fires in British Columbia, one delicious cupcake at a time!

Thousands of people have been displaced by forest fires that have raged across the central interior of British Columbia this summer, and Luca and Logan are determined to help!

The pair got to work setting up a cupcake stand in their community, with the idea of sending all money earned to help those who had to evacuate their homes.

Paul and Kuss of JACK 96.9 knew this was an initiative they could get behind, offering $300.00 for their finest dozen cupcakes!

Today, Luca and Logan stopped by the JACK studio to share a cupcake and tell us that they’ve nearly hit the $1000 mark!

According to news sources, “There are still an estimated 30,256 evacuees across the province who are waiting to hear when they’ll get to go home…There have been an estimated 739 fires so far this year, and (the) province has spent close to $126-million on fire suppression efforts.”
