Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is a classic album. And Star Wars is a classic film. But if you put them together, would they be DOUBLE CLASSIC??

Wonder no more! Thanks to the intrepid folk over at Palette Swap Ninja, two of our favourite things of ALL-TIME have been combined into the perfect soundtrack for May the 4th. The wonderful songs of the Beatles, mixed with inventive new lyrics based on Star Wars, along with a smattering of John Williams original score, plus well-edited YouTube videos and you have the classic album mash-up you’ve been looking for.

This labour of love took Palette Swap Ninja over 5 years to create and their attention to detail is hard to miss. According to the group:

We sweat the details on both sides in an effort to do both cultural milestones justice. Writing hyper-specific lyrics that match the original songs’ cadences; reverse-engineering everything the Beatles recorded, from distorted saxophone riffs to Indian tabla rhythms; recording everything from scratch and learning as we went — well, that’s what takes five years.

Just listen to this new pop culture masterpiece!
