Winter’s in Vancouver might not be as cold as everywhere else in Canada (it’s a WET COLD!) but no one will dispute that we tend to get an ungodly amount of rain and weeks on end of grey skies. And while most Vancouverites are dreaming of a winter getaway to Jamaica or Mexico this time of year, I’ve managed to track down the perfect new Vancouver accessory for your home. Granted, it’s terribly expensive and might be a light that looks like a cloud but something about it makes me think this could be the hottest home accessory in Yaletown this year.

Behold “The Cloud”! Part light, part speaker and all cumulus, the Cloud light is an interactive cloud simulator without all the annoying H2O. The Cloud uses embedded motion sensors to create its own thunder & lightning shows and can be hung anywhere in your home to remind you of how real life probably looks just outside your window.

How much does it cost to bring this Cloud party indoors, you ask? Only $3,360 US (about $4,500 CDN)!!! But don’t fret… you can always order the smaller version for $530 US.
