The New York Times has ranked our glorious country as the top place to visit primarily for our natural wonders: “from the turquoise lakes and mountain peaks of Banff in Alberta to the rolling dunes and red sandstone cliffs of Prince Edward Island along the Atlantic Coast to the newest reserve, the glacial-rounded Mealy Mountains in Labrador.”

There’s more than 200 national parks and historic sites to visit, which are all admission free this year in celebration of Canada’s 150th year of confederation!

Next on the list is the world’s highest desert: Atacama Desert, Chile.
