First it was the list of potential artists.  Then, they voted on who will make it from that list.  Then they voted on who they should vote for from the list.  Then you, the fan got to vote for your pick.

 

So finally after what seems like forever the class of 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees have been announced.

Electric Light Orchestra, consists of JeffLynne and a rotating cast of musicians that play with him to form ELO. The group was formed in Birmingham England by Jef Lynne and Roy Wood with a vision to create modern music with the classical sounds of strings and orchestra sprinkled in.

Gold album’s in the 70’s proved early that the cross over from folk to mainstream is possible, a spokesperson for rights, both civil and human. LIke a Dylan keeps you grounded in reality by singing about the troubled time speaking up against discrimination and showing us it’s not just rock that can do that.

In the late 70’s & early 80’s journey tore us apart with ballads that loved, touched and squeezed their way into our hearts.  Even with Arnel Pineda on vocals their timeless songs still rock massive shows.

He is the man the started CHIC with Bernard Edwards in 1977.  He has guitar strings for veins and makes a song before breakfast. Some say it’s about time NIle Rodgers was in.

 

 

The album Ten was named after a basketball player named Mookie Blaylock, to whom the band was originally named.  The little known group from Seattle at the time released the record in 1991 and some say made music a little better that day.

 

What do you say about Tupac. Everybody loved him. Rumour is he is still making music someplace in southern California under the name Mookie Blaylock.

 

Yes was a very progressive rock band, yes? they were defiantly a stand alone in sounds and even song topics.

The 32nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony April 7, 2017 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for the third time. Ticket on-sale dates will be announced in January. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2017 Induction Ceremony will again have its television premiere on HBO, and a radio broadcast on SiriusXM. Broadcast details will be announced in early 2017.
