Could you be this calm if you woke up to a black bear outside your tent? David Weale was camping near Capilano river in July when a curious black bear started sniffing around and poking his tent.  Luckily David managed to escape unharmed after distracting the bear with some smoothies, but his tent and camping gear suffered some damage.

Experts have weighed in and remind campers to keep zero food in your tent, lock it in your vehicle instead, and if you’re in bear country to carry bear spray.
