A staple Canada Day activity is watching a brilliant display of fireworks! So, JACK has rounded up where you can catch a fireworks show this long weekend!

If you are staying in Vancouver this weekend, watch the sky light up at the Canada Day celebration at Canada Place.

The two fireworks barges are located in Coal Harbour and Dundarave in West Vancouver. Show starts at 10:30 p.m.

Best viewing locations include:

  • Fireworks Viewing Zone at Canada Place
  • Harbour Green Park
  • Coal Harbour
  • Stanley Park (9 o’clock gun)
  • Crab Park

JACK will be on location this weekend at the City of Surrey Canada Day event! There will be festivities all day long, and will close out with a fireworks display, that will start at approximately 10:15 p.m.

Best viewing location: On the field of the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheater, looking above the Chevron Mainstage.

Celebrating Canada, The City of Burnaby hosts a free concert and fireworks display at dusk.

 

On the North Shore, the Canada Day Red & White Picnic is where’s it’s at. You’re encouraged to dress up, pack a picnic and stick around for the fireworks. There will be two simultaneous fireworks shows, one off the shores of West Vancouver and one in the waterway between Canada Place and North Vancouver. Show begins at 10:30 p.m.

 

Celebrating the nation’s 149th and Coquitlam’s 125th, this Friday July 1st there will be a community festival that will finish with a BANG! Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m. Best viewing location: Town Centre South grass field.

 

In the Valley, celebrate the spirit of our country at the Canada Day 2016 celebration, Downtown Chilliwack. The 25 piece Cascadia Wind Ensemble will be performing during the fireworks show, creating Chilliwack’s own Symphony of Fire!! These festivities are set to wrap up around 10:30 p.m., so expect to be there earlier for the fireworks display.
