If you were a teenager in the 90’s there’s a good chance you’ve heard songs from the amazing album called ‘Throwing Copper’ by LIVE.  Although former lead singer Ed Kowalchuk is no longer with the band,  to celebrate the 20 year release of the album, Ed has been playing an acoustic tour. You can see him at the River Rock casino on March. 3rd… grab tickets and more info here–> TICKETS

I had a chance to chat with Ed over the phone about the acoustic tour, his split from LIVE, how we feels about a possible reunion and getting hit in the head with a shoe on stage.

:11 – Considering the split from LIVE, the lawsuits and all the animosity, why are you doing this tour?

1:33 – So you actually play the entire album from top to bottom in order?

2:44 – Describe the multi-media aspect? What is the highlight of some of the visuals that you have planned?

3:43 – What’s your favourite song to play from Throwing Copper?

4:21 – You must have the crowd singing back to you…how do you feel about that as an artist?

4:52 – I know you’ve probably answered this question a gazillion times but I gotta ask,  when you wrote lighting crashes…could you give us a blip of where you were or what was going through your mind when you wrote that song?

7:04 – So where were you? Were you in the studio, sitting on the floor in a room?

7:47 – In regards to splitting with LIVE I read that you said that “it was the hardest thing you’ve ever dealt with but it was also the greatest gift you were given” Can you expand on that a bit?

**** ED TALKS ABOUT BEING OPEN TO A LIVE REUNION! ****

9:48: Most ridiculous thing you have seen go down while you were on stage?

11:15 – So what do you enjoy more? Playing a massive show like WoodStock or playing an acoustic show for your biggest fans?

12:25 –  The first band I ever saw in Vancouver was LIVE,  I was rocking out a little to far out of my seat, the security got so mad at me he carried me out of the show! When he let me back into the show you came over and high-fived me…do you remember that?

14:11– When you think of Vancouver what do you think of?

14:38 – Is there any one restaurant or coffee shop that you have to visit when you’re here?
